Tominaga drops 30 in victory over Penn State

The Nebraska men’s basketball team capped off a big conference victory on Sunday by defeating the Penn State Nittany Lions at home 72-63. The victory puts an end to a four-game losing streak for The Big Red.

Keisei Tominaga had a career-high 30 on 12-of-18 shooting from the field. The Huskers, as a team, shot 53% from the field. The Nittany Lions hit 14 three-pointers on 38 attempts.

With the win, Nebraska is now 11-13 on the season, while Penn State dropped to 14-9 with the loss, and it has now made their path towards the NCAA tournament bid all the more difficult.

The win also marks the first time that men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg has won 11 games in a season. Nebraska currently sits at 12th in the conference, only ahead of Ohio State and Minnesota.

Nebraska will next take the floor on Wednesday when they travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines.
