Spencer Dinwiddie traded to Brooklyn Nets

Following parts of two seasons with the Mavericks, former CU Buff Spencer Dinwiddie is heading back to the Brooklyn Nets as part of a blockbuster trade that brings Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris to Dallas.

The Mavericks are also receiving three future draft picks from the Nets.

Dinwiddie, who began his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons in 2014, had arguably the best stretch of his career playing for the Mavs, averaging career-bests in minutes played per game (32.3), PPG (17.1) and field goal percentage (.466). He now joins a 32-20 Nets team that sits fourth in the Eastern Conference.

From 2016-21, Dinwiddie averaged 14.3 points and 5.3 assists per game with the Nets.
