The Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball team got back on track Friday after falling to USC last weekend and dropping out of the AP Top 25.
The Buffs corrected course with a 63-53 road win over the Oregon Ducks, their first win in Eugene since 2014. Colorado was a slight underdog coming in, but the Buffs controlled Oregon from the first quarter, leading for over 37 minutes of game time.
Head coach JR Payne’s squad improved o 17-5 overall and 8-3 in Pac-12 play.
Aaronette Vonleh continued her impressive first season at CU by pouring in a career-high 22 points and adding eight rebounds. Frida Formann’s 13 points and hot shooting from deep helped give the Buffs another dimension on offense as well.
Colorado faces Oregon State on Sunday in Corvallis.
