COLLEGE PARK, MD – Coming off three straight home wins to move above .500 in Big Ten play, Maryland heads back to the road to face Minnesota on Saturday night as part of a two-game swing. The Terps have moved up to fourth in the league standings after winning five of its last seven and now look to keep momentum going looking for their first Big Ten road wins of the year.

 

The game will be televised on BTN starting at 9:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. CT), while fans can also listen to the Maryland Sports Network (105.7 FM – Baltimore, The TEAM 980 AM – Washington, D.C., Sirius XM, One Maryland App) with Voice of the Terrapins Johnny Holliday (play-by-play) and Chris Knoche (analyst) calling the action.

Defense has been a hallmark of the Terps this year, but more so over the last five games where Maryland has allowed just 57.8 points per game including a season-low 58 at then-No. 3 Purdue. The Terps rank 26th nationally in KenPom’s adjusted defensive efficiency.


Maryland enters the game at No. 33 in the current NCAA NET rankings with four Quad 1 wins and one Quad 2 win. The four Q1 wins are tied as the third most among all Big Ten teams. The Terps have been as high as No. 6 in the NET and as high as No. 13 in the AP Top 25 Poll.
