Iowa took care of business on Sunday, dispatching of Rutgers, 93-82, to pick up the season sweep of the Scarlet Knights. Kris Murray led the way with 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
He was joined in double figures by Ahron Ulis’ 16 and Connor McCaffery and Tony Perkins’ 11. As a team, Iowa shot 12-of-24 from downtown.
The win over Rutgers erased a two-game losing streak and could be a springboard for the remainder of the regular season. Iowa got an emotional lift versus the Scarlet Knights as forward Patrick McCaffery returned from his six-game absence to calmly drain all three of his 3-point attempts.
