COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2/5 Ohio State women’s basketball team (19-2, 8-2 B1G) hosts Purdue (14-6, 5-5 B1G) in the teams’ first meeting of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. in a game broadcast on B1G+.

Join the Buckeyes in welcoming back the 1992-93 team at halftime. After the game, the current Ohio State’s women’s basketball team and members from the 1992-93 team in attendance will be holding a joint meet and greet in East Market. Sunday’s game is also the Buckeye Inclusion game and the pride game. The first 200 students in attendance will receive pride socks.

  • Ohio State enters the game with a 19-2 overall record and an 8-2 mark in Big Ten games after losing 78-65 at No. 6/6 Indiana on Thursday night.
  • Taylor Mikesell surpassed 2,000 career points on Thursday with her first basket of the game on her way to 15 points.
  • Taylor Thierry recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and tied her career-high 12 rebounds.
  • Cotie McMahon had her team-leading eighth 20-point game of the season, leading the Buckeye offense with 21 points.
  • Purdue comes to Columbus with a 14-6 record this season and a 5-5 Big Ten record after beating No. 22/22 Illinois on the road by a 62-52 margin on Thursday evening.
  • This was Purdue’s first ranked win of the season, having lost previously to then No. 20 Maryland, No. 12 Iowa and No. 17 Michigan.
  • The Boilermakers have three averaging double figures with Lasha Petree (14.6 ppg) leading the way. Jeanae Terry leads Purdue on the boards, averaging 8.1 rebounds per game.
  • Ohio State leads 48-31 in the all-time series against Purdue and has the 24-9 when facing the Boilermakers in Columbus. This mark is after adjustments made for later NCAA rulings. The Buckeyes hold the three most-recent wins in the series, though the teams have played just once per season during that time.
