Everything Eric Musselman said after Arkansas got revenge over LSU

Arkansas’ 60-40 over LSU on Tuesday night provided the Razorbacks with their first set of back-to-back wins since before Christmas.

More importantly, it kept Arkansas’ hopes for an upper-tier finish in the SEC intact at the near-midway point of the conference schedule. The Hogs are off SEC play for a week, though they travel to Baylor on Saturday for the SEC/Big 12 showdown.

A win in that game would certainly help Arkansas’ NCAA Tournament chances, which aren’t, by the way, on the brink (though the seed had been crashing until the back-to-back victories). Still, Arkansas’ ultimate fate will be determined by what it does in-league.

Coach Eric Musselman knows that. That’s why he’s been calling every Hogs game lately the Super Bowl. That won’t stop Saturday against the Bears, either.

Here’s everything Musselman had to say after the Razorbacks dispatched LSU on Tuesday. Note: Musselman’s remarks are paraphrased.

I thought we had a group that was really motivated the last 48 hours. There was no external motivation needed. That locker room, I feel like, was extremely motivated to play this game.

Probably Devo’s done that three times, maybe four. Probably tired. Mad. Knows I’m not going to call one. You add those three together and he’s going to call it himself.
