Dunks rule in Arkansas’ win over LSU

Dunks rule in Arkansas’ win over LSU

The 100 combined points scored between Arkansas and LSU was the lowest total in the 73-year history of the rivalry.

That doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun, anyway.

The Razorbacks won a second straight game for the first time since Dec. 21 in the 60-40 victory, a victory that furthered the team away from the bottom of the SEC standings, which is where they sat a week ago.

Arkansas scored 12 points off dunks and 16 off lay-ups. At one point late in the game, the Razorbacks made three straight buckets on alley-oop jams.

LSU had no answer. The Tigers’ 40 points are the lowest they’ve ever scored against Arkansas, failing to eclipse the previous low of 46, which came in 1949 in the teams’ first-ever meeting.
