Netsโ€™ Kyrie Irving discusses key to beating the Warriors on Sunday

The Brooklyn Nets were ranked as the fifth-best team in the NBA in an article published by on Monday. This piece was done following Brooklynโ€™s 120-116 win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.

The Nets are currently 29-17 (tied for third place in the Eastern Conference) and are 5.5 games behind the first-place Boston Celtics. Brooklyn has won five of its past 10 games, but they are 2-4 since Kevin Durant has been out with his sprained right MCL. The Nets have one more game left on its current road trip and thatโ€™s at the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.

Hereโ€™s what had to say about Brooklyn being ranked as the fifth-best team in the NBA:

โ€œThe Nets lost their first four games after Kevin Durantโ€™s knee injury, scoring a pretty anemic 101.7 points per 100 possessions over the losing streak. The worst offensive performance of the four came against the worst defensive team in the league, with the Nets (who rankย secondย in 3-point percentage for the season) havingย the worst 3-point shooting gameย of the season for any team that doesnโ€™t play its home games in Houston, Texas. But that loss in San Antonio came without Kyrie Irving, who totaledย 86 points on an effective field goal percentage of 71.6% as the Nets put an end to the slide and won two games over the weekend.โ€
