UNC basketball forward Armando Bacot is having himself one heck of a stretch recently.
The senior injured himself two weeks ago in the road loss to Virginia, playing in just two minutes. But since then, he’s put up some big games and should be the favorite for the ACC Player of the Year award right now.
And this past week, Bacot once again wracked up another honor.
Bacot was named the ACC Player of the Week for his play last week as UNC took down Boston College and NC State. He averaged 21.5 points and 17.0 rebounds in those two wins, giving him 12 on the year. He also passed Billy Cunningham for most double-doubles in a career at UNC and broke Tyler Hansbrough’s rebounding mark with the program.

Bacot has won the ACC Player of the Week award three times so far this season including two weeks ago.
The Tar Heels have just one game this week, heading on the road to face Syracuse on Tuesday night as they look to make it four-straight wins.
