KJ Simpson hits game-winner in CU men’s basketball’s defeat of WSU

KJ Simpson put his cape on against the Washington State Cougars on Sunday evening, hitting a game-winning 3-pointer with 4.8 seconds left in the second half to help the Buffaloes win 58-55.

Simpson finished with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and one poster dunk.

Tristan da Silva was the main hero for the Buffs (12-9, 4-7 Pac-12) through the first 39 minutes with 27 points on 11-of-13 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Washington State played CU tough all evening, jumping out to a 10-point lead in the first half before the Buffaloes were able to claw their way back into the game.

Coming up next, Colorado will be out on the road to face the Pac-12’s Oregon schools.
