GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Five ACC games were decided by single digits on Saturday, including Clemson maintaining sole possession of first place in the league standings with a one-point win over visiting Virginia Tech. Hunter Tyson’s 3-pointer with 10.8 seconds remaining gave the Tigers the late lead.
Duke also held off No. 17 Miami, 68-66, in point guard Jeremy Roach’s return to the lineup. Virginia withstood a second-half Wake Forest rally to prevail, 76-67, as Tony Bennett earned his 400th careeer coaching win.
Boston College, Florida State, North Carolina and Syracuse also picked up Saturday wins.
