Last night featured two games. Saint Louis improved to 5-1 in conference play at the expense of Loyola, still searching for their initial A10 victory. In a long standing rivalry that dates years prior to A10 days, St. Bonaventure captured the 130th (Bona leads 70-60) meeting with Duquesne.

Bonnies sprinted out to a 20-3 start and led by 15 at the half. Duquesne answered with a 16-2 run of their own the final twenty minutes but could draw no closer than six. Bonnies placed four in double figures with Daryl Banks III leading the way with a game high 15 points. Jimmy Clark paced the Dukes with 12. Duquesne was held significantly below their 105 average in offensive efficiency for A10 games. Duquesne was limited to 30% shooting the first half and 39% for the game. The win was Bona’s ninth in ten tries at the Reilly Center this season.

The Billikens earned their fourth straight and their third conference road game by virtue of hot shooting. Saint Louis led by four at the break then opened it up following intermission. Saint Louis shot 58% for the game, including 47% (9 of 19) from downtown. Javonte Perkins of Saint Louis led all with 18 points highlighted by 4 of 5 shooting from beyond the arc. The Ramblers placed four in double digits and were paced by Braden Norris with 15. Saint Louis was also dominant on the glass with a 36-21 advantage while limiting Loyola to three offensive rebounds.
