Sun Devil Men’s Basketball Hosts #5 UCLA in Pac-12 Showdown

TEMPE – Sun Devil Men’s Basketball hosts arguably one of the biggest games in program history on Thursday night at 8:30 PM MST.

Arizona State (15-3, 6-1) will take on No. 5 UCLA (16-2, 7-0) at Desert Financial Arena in one of the most highly-anticipated matchups of the week in college basketball. All eyes will be on Tempe as the Sun Devils take center stage in a marquee national showdown.

FIRST PLACE ON THE LINE

When the Sun Devils and Bruins meet on Thursday, January 19th at 8:30 PM MST, first place in the Pac-12 Conference will be on the line. UCLA currently leads the league with a 7-0 record, with Arizona State sitting in sole possession of second place at 6-1.

HOW TO FOLLOW

The Sun Devil Men’s Basketball game against No. 5 UCLA will be broadcasted on FS1 on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 8:30 PM MST. Aaron Goldsmith (pxp) and Casey Jacobsen (analyst) are on the call. All 31 of Arizona State’s games this season will be televised, with Coach Hurley’s squad making appearances on ESPN, FOX, CBS, and Pac-12 Network in addition to several major network affiliates. ASU has three victories over opponents ranked in the AP Top 5 at the time of the meeting in the eight seasons under Bobby Hurley. The program had three total over the previous 35 seasons prior to his arrival. One of those victories came last season over a highly-ranked UCLA team, with the Sun Devils defeating the third-ranked Bruins in triple overtime.

Desmond Cambridge Jr. was named Pac-12 Player of the Week on Monday. He was instrumental in Arizona State’s sweep of Oregon and Oregon State, winning Pac-12 Player of the Week for the second time this season. It is the seventh Player of the Week honor in his illustrious career (Ivy 4x, Pac-12 2x, Mountain West 1x).
