PJ Washington met the 41-game starter criteria with the Charlotte Hornets and locked in a qualifying offer of $8.4 million this summer, reported Bobby Marks of ESPN.
Washington is the first player from the 2019 draft class who didn’t sign an extension to meet the criteria.
Washington is averaging 15.3 points and 4.6 rebounds this season.
