The Aggies are off to an underwhelming start to the 2022-2023 basketball season as they currently sit at 8-5 after defeating Prairie View 86-66 on Friday night, as senior guard Tyrece βBootsβ Radford scored 20 points off a fantastic 6-7 shooting night, with a perfect 4-4 from 3-point. Aggies leading scorer Wade Taylor IV provided 17 points on the night, while Henry Coleman III scored 12 with 6 rebounds on the evening.
After beating Prairie View, Texas A&M will now enter SEC play, starting with a road trip to face the Florida Gators (7-6) on Wednesday, Jan. 4th. This season, the SEC as a whole has been much better than many of us thought going into the season, especially concerning the Missouri Tigers, who are 12-1 so far, knocking Illinois and Kentucky in back-to-back games. In order to for the Aggies to be taken seriously come tournament time, starting out strong in SEC play is an absolute must.
