Dellquan Warren, a four-star recruit, commits to Rutgers basketball

Rutgers football offered Michigan linebacker Montele Johnson.

Four-star recruit Dellquan Warren committed to Rutgers men’s basketball on Friday night, giving the Big Ten program an impressive start to their 2024 class.

A 6-foot-1 point guard from Keystone Athletic Academy (Erie, PA), Warren has a reputation as an impressive defender. He held offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Maryland, Mississippi State, Ohio State and Pittsburgh among others.

According to Rivals, he is the No. 91 recruit in the nation. Warren checks in at No. 95 nationally per 247Sports. He is a consensus four-star recruit.

Last season, he played at Cathedral Prep.

Warren brings a lot to the table for Rutgers, adding good ball-handling ability, a strong shooting touch and the aforementioned defensive ability.

The commitment of Warren is another impressive recruiting win for Rutgers head coach Steve Pikiell. This week, four-star Gavin Griffiths, a top-40 recruit who committed to Rutgers over the summer, showed out at Jersey Mike’s Arena.

Griffiths along with his high school team played a game at Rutgers where Griffiths put together a tremendous performance.

Griffiths along with Jamichael Davis, who committed to Rutgers earlier this month, comprise the 2023 recruiting class for the Scarlet Knights.
