No. 9 Arkansas opens SEC play at LSU

The No. 9 Razorbacks (11-1) roll into Baton Rouge to take on the LSU Tigers (11-1) to open up conference play.

Arkansas enters tonight ranked No. 10 in NET ranking, but will be without their star freshman point guard Nick Smith Jr. for a second straight game. LSU boasts an impressive 8-0 home record, but is ranked No. 81 in the NET with zero Quad 1 wins on the season.

It will be the first true road test of the season for Arkansas, as they’ve only played neutral-site games when straying from Bud Walton Arena.

Fans might also recognize a familiar name suiting up for the Tigers, as former Arkansas guard Justice Hill is now playing meaningful minutes for LSU this season. Hill transferred shortly after Musselman was announced the new head coach at Arkansas in 2019, and had stops at the junior college level and Murray State before ending up at LSU.

It’s a big game for this young Arkansas team, and here’s some of the best pregame tweets ahead of this conference opener.
