WICHITA, Kansas—The South Carolina State women’s basketball team returns back in action on Tuesday (Dec.27th) in a non-conference showdown with Wichita State at Charles Koch Arena.
Tipoff for the contest is 6 p.m. (CST) and 7 p.m. (EST). The game will televised live on ESPN+.

THE SERIES VS. SOUTH CAROLINA STATE

Wichita State and South Carolina State will meet for the first time in women’s hoops on Tuesday.

LAST TIME OUT

The Lady Bulldogs (1-11) look to bounce back after a tough 37-53 loss to Alabama State at home. Wichita State suffered its first home loss of the season last Tuesday in a 61-56 setback to Wyoming. Wichita State clawed back from an 11-point halftime deficit only to see the Cowgirls close the game on a 7-0 run to escape with a win. The Shockers are led in scoring by DJ McCarty with 13.6 points and 4.4 rebounds, while Traiata Colbert and Jane Asinde each toss in a little over 11 points each. Asinde leads the way 10.9 boards per game.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

Led by first year head coach Tim Eatman, South Carolina State enters Tuesday’s matchup at 1-11 this season. The Bulldogs are scoring just 44.0 points per game on 31.2 percent shooting. Nicole Gwynn is the only Bulldog in double figures at 10.0 per game. Lovely Sonnier leads South Carolina State in rebounding (8.1), blocks (9) and steals (22).

South Carolina State plays the second game of a three-game road stretched with New Mexico on Dec. 29th and Furman on Jan 1st.
