Huskies Clash with Idaho State on Home for the Holidays Night

SEATTLE – Washington (8-3, 1-1) continues its homestand on Saturday night as Idaho State comes to Alaska Airlines Arena. The game tips at 7:00 p.m. with AJ Kanell and Mike Montgomery on the call on Pac-12 Networks and Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton calling the action on the Husky Sports Network, locally on Sports Radio KJR-AM 950.
 
A few events take place in Hec Ed before and during the game. As part of the Home for the Holidays theme the team is asking fans to bring new or gently used coats to the game which will then be distributed to The Seattle Union Gospel Mission during the holiday season. Fans attending the game can drop off coats at collection points inside any of the entrance locations at Alaska Airlines Arena. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. for Dawg Pack students and 6:00 p.m. for the general public. Another part of the game’s festivities will feature a photo opportunity with Harry on the concourse before the game and a halftime book reading with Dubs.
 
The Matchup
This is the first meeting between the Huskies and Mustangs since 2013 and sixth overall. All but one of the previous matchups have been played at Hec Ed. UW is 92-16 all-time against Big Sky foes.
  
Last Time Out
Keion Brooks Jr. scored a career-high 30 points and Braxton Meah finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and six blocks to lead Washington to a 74-68 win over Cal Poly. The team climbed back from a 15-point deficit behind 50 points in the second half on 66.7% shooting. Game recap
 
Signing Day
Four-star recruit Wesley Yates III (Beaumont, Texas/Beaumont United) signed a National Letter of Intent on Nov. 16, announcing his commitment to Washington. Yates is the 37th-ranked prospect on ESPN’s Top-100. The signing continues the momentum built from last year’s class, which includes the No. 1 rated player in the state of Washington, Tyler Linhardt (Seattle, Wash./King’s HS) and guard Keyon Menifield Jr. (Mount Morris, Mich./Phoenix [Ariz.] Prep).
