Alabama Collects Sixth Straight Victory with a 69-44 Win over Little Rock

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women’s basketball team rolled to its sixth consecutive win with an impressive 69-44 victory over Little Rock Thursday. The win marked the Crimson Tide’s seventh straight victory at home and fourth win inside Coleman Coliseum this season.

Karly Weathers and Brittany Davis combined for 37 of Alabama’s (8-2) 69 points, as Weathers notched a career-high 17 points to lead all scorers while adding a career-high three blocks and tying a career-high three rebounds. Davis tallied her ninth double-digit game this season with 16 points, eight boards, three assists and two steals. Additionally, Sarah Ashlee Barker had a season-high nine rebounds in the win.

The Trojans (2-7) were led by a Faith Lee, who tied a career-high 16 points in the game. Nikki Metcalfe had 13 points and four boards, while Angelique Francis had nine points and five rebounds in the loss.

“Proud of our team tonight. The way we rebounded the ball was much improved. It’s obviously been a point of emphasis, to do what we did the first half and dominate the boards and then dominate them again in the second half. We obviously had a lot of contributions tonight. We’re still trying to figure out a rotation. Really proud of our team for how they stepped up and I thought we had a different pace about us.”
