Towers takes leave of absence from women’s basketball team

MADISON, Wis. – Freshman Tessa Towers of the Wisconsin women’s basketball team is taking a leave of absence from the team to focus on a personal matter. Her return to the team is undetermined at this time.

“Our program fully supports Tessa as she takes this time away,” commented head coach Marisa Moseley. “We will always make sure that people come first before basketball.”

Towers, a 6-5 center from Batavia, Illinois, has appeared in three games for the Badgers this season.

Wisconsin will return to the court Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Green Bay.
