Tide at No. 8 in latest NET Rankings

Alabama men’s basketball moves up to No. 8 in latest AP top-25 poll

Alabama men’s basketball team was ranked at No. 8 in the latest NET rankings.

Despite the Tide playing one game this past week, it proved to be enough for the Tide to be inside the top-10. Nate Oats’ squad was able to fend off a scrappy South Dakota State team. The Tide won by a final score of 78-65.

Freshmen Brandon Miller and Noah Clowney have provided a huge lift this season. The two of them have combined to average 27.7 points per game and 16.9 rebounds per game. Their presence on the floor has been impactful alongside the play of their teammates this season. The Tide are currently 7-1.

On Saturday, Alabama will face the No. 1-ranked Houston Cougars. It will be the Tide’s second time facing a No. 1-ranked team this season. The other came in the Phil Knight Invitational against the North Carolina Tar Heels. A win would certainly help Alabama’s resume and boost the team’s confidence as conference play approaches.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama men’s basketball program.
