COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4/5 Ohio State women’s basketball team (7-0) travels Rutgers (4-5) to open Big Ten play on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for noon in a game broadcast on BTN.

• 4/5 Ohio State started the season 7-0 and is coming off a 96-77 win at No. 18/15 Louisville on Wednesday.
• The win against the Cardinals snapped Louisville’s 48-game home win streak against non-conference opponents. Ohio State completed its largest second-half comeback in program history after being down 50-37 early in the third quarter.
• At Louisville, OSU had three players score 20+ points for the first time since Jan. 27, 2018 – Taylor Mikesell (26), Jacy Sheldon (22) and Rebeka Mikulasikova (21).
• Rutgers has a 4-5 record to start the season.
• The Scarlet Knights most recently lost at Boston College on Wednesday by a 75-61 margin.
• Rutgers has played two ranked opponents this season, losing to (then) No. 11/12 Tennessee by a 94-54 margin and No. 19/5 Texas by an 82-44 mark – both in a tournament in the Bahamas before Thanksgiving.
• Ohio State leads the all-time series 14-7 against Rutgers and has the 5-4 edge when facing the Scarlet Knights in Piscataway.
• The Buckeyes won both meetings last season, including an 80-71 victory on Jan. 23. In that game, Jacy Sheldon led the way with 32 points, while Taylor Mikesell scored 21 and Rikki Harris added 10. Just a couple weeks later, OSU captured the 61-57 win at home on Feb. 7. Mikesell led the Buckeye offense with 26 points, including six triples.
