THE OPENING TIP

β€’Β  Pitt caps off a three-game homestand at the Petersen Events Center Friday, Nov. 25 against William & Mary. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. with Kevin Wheeler and Julius Page calling the game on ACC Network Extra.

β€’Β  The Panthers have won four consecutive games and are 8-5 all-time against William & Mary. Pitt is 18-6 overall against teams currently in the Colonial Athletic Association.
β€’Β  Friday’s game marks Pitt’s fifth of six games in a 13-day span. The Panthers conclude the stretch with a road game at Northwestern (Nov. 28).
β€’Β  The Panthers are 3-1 at the Petersen Events Center this season. Two of Pitt’s three home wins have been by 20 or more points. The Panthers have a +20.5 scoring margin over their past two home games.
β€’Β  Blake Hinson has posted five double figure scoring games, including three 15+ point efforts. He leads the Panthers and ranks 14th in the Atlantic Coast Conference in scoring at 15.8 points per game, while shooting 50.0 percent (33-of-66) from the field and 37.1 percent 13-of-35) from three-point range.
β€’Β  Jamarius Burton is averaging 14.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, while shooting 54.3 percent (28-of-51) from the field. He the only ACC player averaging better than 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
β€’Β  Jorge Diaz Graham is averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game over the past three contests. He is 9-of-18 from the field and 9-of-13 from the foul line in that span.

β€’ Blake Hinson is one of five players in the ACC averaging over 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while shooting over 50.0 percent from the field this season.
β€’ Pitt’s roster features five players who have averaged double figures for a season at the NCAA Division I level. Nelly Cummings (3x), Nike Sibande (3x), Jamarius Burton (2x), John Hugley IV (1x) and Blake Hinson (1x) have combined for 10 double-figure scoring seasons. Hinson (15.8 ppg.), Burton (14.4 ppg.), and Hugley IV (12.0 ppg.) are averaging 10 or more points through the first six games, while Greg Elliott (9.0 ppg.) is also near that mark.
