Iowa looks to improve to 4-0 on the young 2022-23 men’s college basketball season as the Hawkeyes welcome in the Omaha Mavericks. The Hawkeyes topped Bethune-Cookman, 89-58, and routed North Carolina A&T, 112-71, in Iowa City before a nice road win at Seton Hall, 83-67.

Iowa’s Kris Murray and Filip Rebraca each registered double-doubles against Seton Hall. Murray scored 12 of the Hawkeyes’ first 16 points and finished with a career-high tying 29 points. He also added 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rebraca logged his 27th career double-double, finishing with 10 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks and a pair of steals. Point guard Tony Perkins had 18 points and Patrick McCaffery also added 11 points. McCaffery has tallied double-figures in each of the Hawkeyes’ three games thus far this season.

Now, Iowa is back inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena where the Mavericks invade sporting a 1-3 record. Omaha lost at No. 3 Kansas, 89-64, against Nebraska, 75-61, and versus Ball State, 71-61. The Mavericks beat Idaho, 79-72.
