Another Magic Performance From Doncic Puts Him In The Record Books Again

Dallas Mavericks fans knew history was on the cards when it came to superstar Luka Doncic, but few would have expected him to write himself into the history books in such great style when the Mavs hosted Denver Nuggets the other day.

With the Mavericks taking a 127-99 win over the Nuggets in last Friday’s clash, the more confident basketball fan who had faith that Doncic would reach the historic 50 triple double milestone would have had great success with bookmakers given the options that would have been available to them. Even a cheeky flutter on Doncic reaching the milestone a clear one game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers legend that is Magic Johnson, would have brought its own rewards.

The 23 year old is clearly going to set and break records in the future given his age and the number of times he will still take to the court before he even thinks of a potential retirement, but the game also saw him pick up another place in the basketball history books. The Nuggets clash was the 25th time that he had scored at least 30 points in a triple double, and that puts him into fifth place in that NBA record book – Robertson, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and James Harden are the only ones ahead of him at this moment in time.

Given his season so far, many will be expecting even more from Doncic as he is already leading the league in scoring, and already has four 30 point triple doubles in…
