Therapist Settles Lawsuit With Joshua Primo, Spurs

Josh Primo Out For Preseason With MCL Sprain

The therapist who alleged Joshua Primo exposed himself to her on multiple occasions while she worked for the San Antonio Spurs has settled her lawsuit against both parties.

Tony Buzbee said in a statement Thursday afternoon all parties “agreed to resolve this matter.”

Hillary Cauthen accused Primo of wrongdoing during nine separate incidents.

Cauthen claimed in her suit that she complained about Primo’s behavior to Spurs officials. Bexar County District Court records show Cauthen dropped her suit against the Spurs “with prejudice,” which means she cannot refile it.

Primo was waived by the Spurs on Oct. 28.

RC Buford released the following statement in response to the lawsuit settlement:

“The situation regarding Josh Primo is a matter we take seriously. Since learning of the allegations, we have taken, and are taking, measures to ensure that all parties involved are treated with dignity and respect. We know we owe that to Dr. Cauthen, our players, our staff and our community.

“As an organization, we are continuously evaluating and refining our processes so they ultimately reflect the values and future of who we aspire to be every day. To that end, we have decided to collaborate with Dr. Cauthen and other experts in an effort to review and improve our workplaces processes and procedures.

“This is a learning opportunity for us, and one that we are certain will make us better moving forward.”
