Women's Basketball Inks Hannah Linthacum

Columbia, Mo. – University of Missouri Women’s Basketball head coach Robin Pingeton announced the addition of Hannah Linthacum who signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday and will continue her academic and athletic career with the Tigers.

Linthacum will join her older sisters, Micah and Sarah, as the third Linthacum on the Mizzou Women’s Basketball roster. A native of Jefferson City, Mo.—she is one of two in-state signees in the 2023 signing class.

“I’m so glad that we are finally getting Hannah here to Columbia,” said Pingeton. “We have spent years building a relationship with Hannah and already feel like she is one of our own. Like her sisters, Hannah has an enthusiasm for life, a heart for others, and the ability to light up a room. Her length, interior defense and shot blocking, and high motor will be a great addition to our roster. She has the ability to be disruptive on the defensive end and is equally skilled around the rim. A three-Linthacum roster is not only such a fun opportunity for Hannah, Sarah, Micah, and the Linthacum family, but it is a blessing to our entire program.”

Linthacum, a 6-3 forward, averaged a double-double during her junior campaign at Jefferson City High School. She was named Class 5 All-State, All-District, and All-Conference after averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds. She was also named to the All-District team at the conclusion of her sophomore and freshman seasons as well. Not only does she shine on the basketball court, but Linthacum is also a volleyball standout for her high school. She is two-time All-District and All-Conference for the Lady Jays and was named to the All-State team after her junior season.  Hannah excels in the classroom as well where her 3.8 GPA recently earned her Academic All-State honors.

“I chose Mizzou because of the amazing program and people including the coaches and players,” said Linthacum. “I love how they truly care about developing you as a person versus just a basketball player. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff and love all of the players and I’m so excited to be a part of the Tiger family!”
