Darvin Ham on what Lakers need to improve most

Ahead of this season the Lakers were generally not viewed as title contenders, however, not many expected the team to be 2-8 after ten regular season games.

In their recent loss against the Jazz, Los Angeles failed to contain their opponents who scored 139 points against 116 by the Lakers.

After the game Lakers head coach Darvin Ham named three areas where his team needs to improve to become better. “We just got to be more together and the little detail things: being good in transition defense, being good contesting shots without fouling and everyone getting rebounding, coming out with more of those 50-50 balls,” he said.

“Always seems the trend now with us is we don’t get the 50-50 ball, we don’t a defensive rebound in terms of the threes or and-one fouls or something like that. Just those three areas.

“If we’re better in transition defensively, if we’re better contesting shots without fouling, if we’re better getting defensive rebounds, you’ll see a huge improvement and us getting back to where we were at the very beginning of the season.”
