Bulls ‘not ready’ to put timeline on Lonzo’s return

Five weeks following his second surgery, the Chicago Bulls have no update on Lonzo Ball’s injury.

During the Bulls’ victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, TNT’s Jared Greenberg reported that Ball has been working on strengthening his body in the weight room while on-court work is on the horizon.

“From what I’ve been told, the hope is that Lonzo will start to do some on-court stationary shooting at some point soon,” Greenberg told Brian Anderson and Reggie Miller on TNT’s broadcast. “…but the Bulls are not ready to put any sort of timeline together (Reggie) of when he will be able to return to the court.”

Prior to Chicago’s 124-109 victory against Indiana on Oct. 28, Bulls coach Billy Donovan stated that he had ‘not heard anything as of yet’ regarding Ball’s knee.

In Ball’s absence, second-year guard Ayo Dosunmu has stepped into the starting lineup, averaging 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game on 52.9% shooting from the floor and 42.9% from 3-point range.
