Basketball Announces 2022-23 Schedule - Smith College Athletics


NORTHAMPTON – Head coach Lynn Hersey and the Smith College basketball team announced its schedule for 2022-23 season Tuesday morning as the Pioneers prepare to take on a challenging 25-game slate opening on Saturday, November 12. 

After a historic and one of the most impressive seasons in program history a year ago, the Pioneers concluded a 10-game winning streak in the NCAA Division III Tournament Round of 16 against Wisconsin-Whitewater. Earning national rankings throughout the season, Smith finished out the year with a 25-3 overall record with an undefeated 9-0 mark against conference opponents and advanced to the program’s second consecutive Sweet 16 appearance. The Pioneers ended the year ranked No. 9 in the final rankings of the 2021-22 campaign and will look to build on that success again this season.
