The two of the brightest young stars slated to shine in the next NBA Draft are about to collide for a friendly bout.

Per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Victor Wembanyama and the Metropolitans 92 are squaring off against Scoot Henderson’s G League Ignite for a pair of exhibition matches on Oct. 4 and 6 in Henderson, Nevada. The games will be televised on various ESPN networks.

It was revealed for the past few days by draft insider Rafael Barlowe that discussions were indeed already taking place for a friendly matchup between the two ball clubs.

Wembanyama and Henderson, the presumptive top two overall prospects of the Class of 2023, boasts promising talents and special traits on their respective positions.

The French Wembanyama, highly being touted as a generational player, stands at a lanky seven-foot-three frame with an impeccable skill set and shooting.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Henderson possesses an NBA-ready body as a guard and an immense ability to cut through the basket with his sheer athleticism.

Ignite’s 2022-23 season will officially start on Nov. 24, now having a chance to officially compete for a title after being granted a full 50-game G League schedule. On the other hand, the Metropolitans will start their season tip-off on LNB Pro a from a three-game slate in Sept. 23, 27 and 30 before flying to the United States for the much-anticipated friendlies.
