Jazz Intend To Keep Collin Sexton

Pistons, Pacers, Spurs Interested In Collin Sexton

The Utah Jazz were first linked with Collin Sexton in July and an unexpected trade of Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers allowed him to sign a four-year, $72 million deal when it appeared he was set to take the qualifying offer.

But with the Jazz fully engaged in an aggressive rebuild, it begged the question of whether Sexton would actually end up with Utah.ย

“I checked in, because I wondered, could they reroute Collin Sexton?” “Maybe to the Lakers for example? But I was told ‘no, Sexton is going to be in Utah.’ That’s at least the plan.”

Windhorst added that the negotiations between the Jazz and Sexton likely came together very quickly.

Sexton averaged 24.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 60 games during the 20-21 season. Sexton was limited to just 11 games last season after suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee.
