Four-star Dailyn Swain sets commitment date

Ron Holland lists Arkansas in top-five

Arkansas is looking to add to its already talented 2023 recruiting class and hopes that a small forward from Ohio will be the next to pledge.

Dailyn Swain, a four-star product from Africentric Early College in Columbus, Ohio, has listed Arkansas among the programs that he will be choosing this upcoming Friday, September 2.

On3’s Jamie Shaw calls Swain a “length guard with a projectable frame.”

Swain sees the floor well and is slippery, in transition, attacking the rim. He is very unselfish; you would almost like to see him be more aggressive in attacking the basket. Swain is also very you for his grade, with an ’05 birthday. He will need to continue adding weight and grow in aggressiveness. There are a lot of tools to like here with some ceiling for continued growth.

By all accounts, Swain appears to be choosing between the hometown Ohio State Buckeyes, and the in-state program, Xavier. Arkansas’ role in Swain’s recruitment is unusual, as head coach Eric Musselman has not extended an offer to Swain.

Despite not receiving an Arkansas offer, Swain likes the style of play that Arkansas exhibits, as well as its success at sending players to the next level.

“Arkansas is a great program and I like their play style a lot,” Swain said in a recent interview with On3. “Coach (Eric) Musselman has produced a lot of talent in the past couple of years. I am hoping to set up a visit with them soon.”

In addition to Arkansas, Swain has an interest in Ohio State, Xavier, Arizona State, and Clemson.
