Vanderbilt finished 13th in the SEC last season and tallied four wins in conference play, including a senior night victory over then-No. 15/21 Florida at home. In her inaugural season as a head coach, Shea Ralph and the Commodores logged a historic year by resetting program records, achieving the first-ever postseason triple-double, defeating a ranked opponent for the first time since 2020, advancing to the second round of the SEC Tournament and notching a 2-1 record in the WNIT.

Though it fell short against Middle Tennessee in the third round of the WNIT, the game was the farthest into March that Vanderbilt had gotten since playing in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. Ralph finished her inaugural season with the second-most first-season victories (16) at Vanderbilt. Only Jim Foster and Melanie Balcomb, who each won 22 in their respective first campaigns, earned more.

The SEC schedule boasts a round-robin set of home and away contests. The Commodores will play eight games at Memorial Gymnasium and eight road games. This is the 14th year of the 16-game schedule for women’s basketball and the 11th year with 14 total teams.

The regular season concludes with the 2023 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament being held for the sixth time at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The tournament, which will include all 14 teams, begins March 1 and concludes with the championship game March 5.

The women’s basketball television schedule will be announced at a later date, as will times for all games.
