Michigan basketball reveals non-conference schedule for 2022-23 season

While it’s almost football season, Michigan basketball finalized its non-conference schedule for the 2022-2023 season on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wolverines will have an exhibition game on November 4 against Ferris State before their season opener against Purdue Fort Wayne on November 7.

On November 11, the Wolverines will travel to Little Caesars Arena in Detroit to take on the new-look Eastern Michigan squad that features former five-star, and Memphis transfer, Emoni Bates.

The only non-conference tournament that Michigan will be competing in will be the Legends Classic which begins on November 16. The other three teams competing in that are Arizona State, Pittsburgh, and VCU. The Arizona State game adds intrigue due to Franke Collins transferring there after playing one season in Ann Arbor.

The maize and blue will be hosting Virginia on November 29 in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Wolverines hold an 8-11 record in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

The very next game on December 4, Michigan will be traveling to London to take on a perineal power in Kentucky. The Wolverines hold a 2-5 record against the Wildcats all time.

The other big non-conference game will be against North Carolina in Charlotte for the Jumpman Invitational. The Wolverines and Tarheels are joined by Florida and Oklahoma to represent the Michael Jordan brand.

We will update you when the Big Ten schedule is finalized.
