How is a Utah Jazz star dealing with the franchise turmoil?

Over the past few months, the Utah Jazz have traded away both Royce O’Neale and Rudy Gobert, key cogs to the past few seasons for the Jazz, and with all the rumours surrounding the squads other All-Star, Donovan Mitchell, no one truly knows which direction this franchise is heading in going forward. While that certainly effects those involved, how do other Jazz players feel going forward about their roles with the team, and whether they’ll even be on the team in the coming months?

Thankfully, while hosting a basketball camp for the kids of Salt Lake City who idolize him and his teammates, Jordan Clarkson was given the chance to comment on the mindset and how he’s feeling as the Jazz could be potentially overhauled in just one off-season.

“My mood is — I’m always good. My vibe is always good. It doesn’t change. This is my ninth year going into the league. I know how the business of basketball works.” Even with all the chaos around the team, to see an underrated star of the NBA like Clarkson in such high spirits, with the majority of his teammates, himself included potentially on the way out of Utah is good to see.

The other great thing to note is just how positive and upbeat the camp was, as he has become one of the most beloved Jazz players in recent memory over his time in Salt Lake City, so much so that plenty of the kids in attendance pleaded with him to stay in Utah. Unfortunately, that’s not up to him, but given the love and dedication from both parties here, it’s tough to potentially not see Utah build a winner around someone as positive and likeable as Jordan Clarkson.

So what do you guys think? Should the Jazz re-tool and build a winner for fan favourites like Clarkson? Should Utah bite the bullet and move on from Clarkson while he can get them back a significant haul? How should the team proceed in 2022? As always, let us know in the comments below.
