Anthony Davis’ top 10 games of the 2021-22 season: No. 2

It took almost no time for key injuries to start to accumulate for the Los Angeles Lakers this past season.

Talen Horton-Tucker, Trevor Ariza and Kendrick Nunn were all out early on, and it got even worse when LeBron James sprained his ankle in just the third game of the schedule.

With him out on Oct. 26 versus the San Antonio Spurs, Anthony Davis was forced to step things up.

Many accuse him of being soft and lacking motivation, but he was anything but those things on this night.

He tallied 35 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots to help the Lakers outlast the Spurs in overtime, 125-121.

Los Angeles trailed by 12 points going into the fourth quarter, but Davis had 10 of his points in that period to help his team come back and get a victory.
