Scarlet Knights offer 3-star Antonio Chol

Rutgers basketball offered Jamari McDowell this week, becoming the second Big Ten program to offer the Texas prospect.

A 6-foot-5 guard from Manvel High School (Manvel, TX), McDowell is a four-star and the No. 126 player in the nation in the 247Sports Composite.

The class of 2023 guard currently holds a strong offer list that includes Georgetown, Kansas, Marquette, Minnesota, TCU, Wake Forest and Xavier. Last week, he was offered by Alabama.

He has a strong handle, cuts and drives to the basket well and is a solid defender.

Last season, playing a strong schedule, Manvell went 19-15.

McDowell tweeted about the offer on Monday:

Rutgers is off to a nice start to their 2023 recruiting. Earlier this summer they landed four-star Gavin Griffiths, a consensus top 60 player in the nation.

Griffiths is the No. 36 player in the nation in the 247Sports Composite. He held offers from Alabama, UConn, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Syracuse and TCU among others. He is the highest-ranked recruit landed by head coach Steve Pikiell.
