The Minnesota Timberwolves are eager to build upon the success enjoyed in the 2021-22 NBA season. While the team finished at a record of 46-36 and entered the NBA Playoffs as the seventh seed, there is a growing sense of optimism that the team can finish this year even better, and can advance beyond the first round of the NBA Playoffs when they do.

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ schedule for 2022 preseason games is set. Now the question is who will the Timberwolves play and when?  Well, we can share that information, as we have that all detailed out for you below:

  • Date         Opponent           Where                  Time
  1. Oct.  4      Miami Heat        FTX Arena            6:30 pm CT
  2. Oct.  6      LA Lakers            TM Arena             9:00 pm CT
  3. Oct.  9      LA Clippers         Crypto Arena       TBD
  4. Oct. 12    LA Lakers            Crypto Arena       9:00 pm CT
  5. Oct. 14    Brooklyn Nets    Target Center      7:00 pm CT (home game)

This is a good preseason test for the team. Last year, the team played just four games. Those 2021 preseason games were:

  • Date               Opponent         Score
  1. Oct. 4             NO Pelicans     W 117-114
  2. Oct. 8             Nuggets            W  114-112 OT
  3. Oct. 11          LA Clippers        W  128-100
  4. Oct. 14          Brooklyn Nets   L 107-100

The biggest difference between the two preseason schedules is the fact that the Timberwolves will face the Lakers twice. As far as similarities? The Timberwolves will face the Brooklyn Nets for the second consecutive year.

Want to catch the final exhibition game? Preseason tickets for the Oct. 14 game with the Brooklyn Nets are planned to go on sale along with the regular season tickets in September.  Of course, fans can register beforehand for priority access to single game tickets, including preseason, by visiting the team website at timberwolves.com/single. To register, you will need to submit your name, email address, phone number, and zip code.

Can’t make the game?  The broadcast schedule for the Minnesota Timberwolves preseason games will be publicly available at a future time.
