Apparently, the Utah Jazz are looking to move another veteran piece.

Team reporter Tony Jones of Salt Lake Tribune told league insider Marc Stein that the Jazz are having conversations with other teams about potentially trading Mike Conley away.

“I know that the Jazz have talked to teams about Mike Conley,” Jones said (h/t HoopsHype). “I don’t know how much of a market there is remaining for Mike Conley.”

Currently at age 34, Conley has been a reliable two-way floor general throughout his career, but this previous season was a rocky one on his side, especially in his defensive identity.

Conley is still under contract until the end of 2023-2024 season, as he is set to earn over $47 million in total salary.

Utah seems to be in position to head towards reconstruction after shipping franchise anchor Rudy Gobert for Minnesota Timberwolves’ bountiful package that features multiple first-round picks. The club also hired the 34-year-old Will Hardy to become Quin Snyder’s successor in the top coaching post.

For now, the Jazz continues to make noise regarding the availability of Donovan Mitchell in the open market.
