How did the Warriors make it back to the Championship?

So how did the Warriors make it back to the NBA Championship? Well I would say it was because of Steph Curry and Klay Thompsons the Splash Brothers.

I think others would say it was Golden State’s depth that helped them win the 2022 Championships.

Regardless how the Warriors made it back to the Championship, they are your 2022 NBA Champs.

But let’s take a closer look at this team’s journey:

Golden state won their very first title with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson back in 2015 as the Warriors defeated the LeBron led Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 2016 the Warriors were down 3-1 to the Oklahoma City Thunder but managed to come beat the Thunder only to fall to the LeBron 4 games to three.

That off-season the Warriors figured that they need help getting to another championship.

So as luck would have it the Warriors went out and recruited the man they had defeated in the Western Conference Finals.

That man’s name was Kevin Durant. Durant’s joining a 73-5 team in the Golden State Warriors came as a shock to everyone throughout the NBA.

And as shocking as it was, the marriage between the Warriors and Kevin Durant was only a short one.

After winning three championship with Golden State Durant decided he wanted to build a legacy of his own in Brooklyn.

The point that I am trying to make or as the I think I am trying to make is that even though the Warriors were once stacked they didn’t need a superstar to push them to a championship.

They won the 2022 championship with heart determination and a strong work ethic.

And hopefully that work eithic that I spoke about continues for years to come as I think moving forward team as constructed is going to be hard to beat.

Now in saying that I undestand they are going to lose some pieces to other teams the is inentivable, but as long as the core of this team is intact the will be fine.
