Tigers to host Texas Southern next season

Tigers to face West Virginia in SEC/Big 12 matchup

Auburn’s schedule is starting to come into focus.

The Tigers will host Texas Southern in Neville Arena on Nov. 18. The game will come after Auburn’s game against Winthrop on Nov. 15 and before the Tiger’s trip to Mexico for the on-site portion of the Cancun Challenge. The game against Winthrop is part of the Cancun Challenge but is not part of the bracket for the tournament.

Auburn will have four-straight home games to start the season, opening with George Mason on Nov. 7, then USF on Nov. 11, and Winthrop on Nov. 15 before the game against Texas Southern on Nov. 18.

After that stretch, they will head to Cancun, Mexico for a Nov. 22 game against Bradley. That will be followed by a matchup against either Northwestern or Liberty on Nov. 23.

They will then play a home game against Saint Louis on Nov. 27 before heading to Atlanta for a game against Memphis on Dec. 10 in the Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase.

Following that, they will go on a West Coast strip, playing at USC on Dec. 18 and at Washington on Dec. 21.

The final scheduled non-conference game is against Werst Virginia on Jan. 28, when the Tigers will head to Morgantown, West Virginia, to take on the Mountaineers in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

We know who Auburn will play in their 18 conference games, but not when. The Tigers will have home-and-home meetings against Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M next season. They will host Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, and Missouri at Neville Arena, and have road matchups against Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.
