Nets ‘might be’ willing to send Kyrie Irving to Charlotte

As the NBA free agency kicks off, the Brooklyn Nets ‘might be’ interested in trading Kyrie Irving for trade package involving some of the Charlotte Hornets best young talents.

Irving, who opted-in to his contract with Brooklyn has been open about wanting out of the organization and has been garnering interest from around the league.

NBA insider Kristian Winfield of New York Daily News reports that the Nets, “might be” interested in a package that involves lights-out shooter Terry Rozier, slashing wing Kelly Oubre Jr., young power forward P.J. Washington and draft pick compensation.

The Nets might be willing to accept a deal that includes a combination of sharpshooting point guard Terry Rozier, versatile wing Kelly Oubre Jr., former first-round pick P.J. Washington and draft compensation. The Nets are unlikely to accept Gordon Hayward back in an Irving deal, according to a league source, as Hayward is due in excess of $60M over the next two seasons and has had a number of injuries that have kept him off the floor the past two seasons.

The Brooklyn Nets have the attention of the entire league as Kevin Durant now becomes the second star on the franchise requesting their way off of the team.
