NBA Earlier Free Agency Notes – Day 1:  Max contract for Bradley; Departure of Monk, Hartenstein and more

As we are closing out the Day 1 of the wild 2022 NBA Free Agency, here are some other notable player-team transactions that were reported earlier across the league media:

• Bradley Beal will sign a five-year, $251 million max contract extension with the Washington Wizards (via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski). Amid being part of trade rumors, Beal established his loyalty and is set to sit at the Wizards’ core in a long-term picture. 
• The Portland Trail Blazers will sign restricted free agent Anfernee Simons on a four-year, $100 million deal (h/t Adrian Wojnarowski). He blossomed in his fourth season in Rip City, posting career-highs in points (17.3), boards (2.6) and assists (3.9). The 23-year-old guard is expected to support the offensive arsenal of Damian Lillard for the next couple of seasons. 
• The Oklahoma City Thunder are extending Lu Dort on a brand-new $87.5 million deal for five years, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The signing gave the undrafted Dort a major financial relief in his career upon settling on a team-friendly contract while doing an underrated capacity of play for the club for the past three seasons. 
• Both Chris Boucher and the Toronto Raptors have agreed to go for a three-year, $35.25MM deal, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Boucher developed himself in the Raptors as a reliable big man upon landing there in the 2018-2019 season. 
• Both Mo Bamba and the Orlando Magic have agreed to extend their partnership via two-year, $21 million deal, as noted by Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports. Bamba flourished last season for the franchise as their center, averaging career-highs in points (10.6), boards (8.1), blocks (1.7) and assists (1.2).
• The Los Angeles Clippers will regain the service of Nicolas Batum on a reported $22 million deal for two years (h/t Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes). The French veteran already expressed his intentions to be back wearing a Clippers gear after the team’s 2021-2022 campaign. 
• Victor Oladipo will remain with the Miami Heat, signing a one-year contract for $11MM. Also from sources, the Heat have signed big man Dewayne Dedmon for two-year, $9 million salary. 
• Malik Monk will leave the Los Angeles Lakers, signing a two-year deal worth $19MM with the Sacramento Kings (per Damian Barling of ESPN 1320). Monk balled out for the Lakers last season and truly raised his value, averaging 13.8 PPG, 3.4 RPG and 2.9 APG.
