The Boston Celtics have agreed to re-sign backup big man Luke Kornet. Kornet will reportedly ink a two-year contract with the Celtics.
The 7-foot-1 forward/center has spent parts of the last two seasons with Boston. Kornet has also played for the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks during that time.
The Celtics prize Kornet for his shooting range and his ability to stay ready, despite sometimes going long stretches without playing. Boston also likes Kornet’s lively presence on the bench and in the locker room.
