During his pre-draft media availability, Santa Clara guard Jalen Williams — who worked out for the Oklahoma City Thunder — also said that fellow prospect Kennedy Chandler was there too in a pre-draft visit.
Williams said that his workout with the Thunder was a more traditional one and that general manager Sam Presti coached a team during a scrimmage that involved Williams and Chandler.
Chandler spent his lone college season at Tennessee, where he averaged 13.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists on 46.4 percent shooting in 34 games. Chandler is projected to be a late first-round pick, so he will likely not be available for the Thunder at No. 34.
A trade up would need to be executed in order for the Thunder to draft Chandler if they like the 19-year-old enough.
