Lakers reveal prospects in latest round of NBA pre-draft workouts

Michigan freshman Caleb Houstan on Monday was among the prospects to participate in a pre-draft workout with the Denver Nuggets, the team announced.

Houstan, a former five-star recruit from the Montverde Academy, averaged 10.1 points, four rebounds and 1.4 assists on 35.5% shooting from 3-point range in 34 games. He started in every game for the Wolverines and led the team with 60 3-pointers.

The 6-foot-8 forward was highly regarded entering college. He possesses the physical tools and ideal skill set to succeed and is projected to be a first-round pick, as a result. He has previously worked out with at least six other teams, including the Toronto Raptors.

In addition to Houstan, the Nuggets also worked out Mississippi State forward Garrison Brooks, Baylor forward Kendall Brown, Villanova guard Collin Gillespie, Ismael Kamagate of Paris Basketball (France) and Gonzaga guard Andrew Nembhard on Monday.

The Nuggets enter the draft with the 21st and 30th selections in the first round. They reportedly acquired the 30th pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday in exchange for JaMychal Green and a protected 2027 first-rounder.

The NBA draft will take place on June 23.
