Once again the Celtics struggled in the third quarter, losing it 14-35 against the Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Except that this time Boston was unable to rally in the final period like they did in Game 1 and eventually lost Game 2 (107-88).

Jayson Tatum, who recovered from a poor shooting night in Game 1 as he scored team-high 28 points, was asked what is the issue that causes his team to have poor third quarters.

“I think tonight turnovers and I think sometimes letting our offense affect how we defend,” the 24-year-old forward said. “It was a little stagnant on there in the third quarter. I feel like it translated on the defensive end and they got going and hitting shots and things like that.”
